Down TBR Hole

Down the TBR hole #6

Hello friends! Happy Monday! How was your weekend?

Welcome back to another down the TBR hole post! Down the TBR hole is a meme created by Lisa at lost in a story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there. Let’s jump right in!

The Rules:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Queen Sugar by Natalie Baszile

I added this after watching the first season of the TV adaptation. I have the audiobook on hold from my library right now.

Verdict: Keep

The Dream Cycle by H. P. Lovecraft

I own this one too. I plan to read it during autumn/spooky season.

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice

Ugh, I think I added this because I was going to read it and then watch the movie adaptation but I just don’t thin I’ll get to either, at least not anytime soon. Also, this series has thirteen books! I’m terrible at continuing on with series’ so that’s a big reason why I don’t want to start this.

Verdict: Go

The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neill

I own this one, too. I’ll read this one for sure because I’ve heard really good things about it!

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

I don’t know, yall. I’ve heard really rave reviews for this book as well but oof. I know it is sad and heartbreaking and I just don’t know if or when I’ll ever be in the mood for that.

Verdict: Go

And that’s the end of down the TBR hole for today.

Have you read any of these? Which of these books do you recommend? Any of these a favorite of yours?
