Hello friends! Happy Friday!
It’s time for Friday Favorites hosted by Kibby at Something of the Book! This is a weekly meme hosted every Friday where you can show off your favorites (or least favorites) based on her weekly prompts. Go on over to her page to see the rules and prompts.
This weeks prompt is favorite movie and TV adaptations
The Hate U Give
I loved this book soooo much! Then, I recently, actually just last weekend, watched the movie and fell in love all over again!
This book and movie have some difficult and extremely important subject matter and if you haven’t read the book or seen the movie I highly recommend you get on that very soon!
Big Little Lies
This book was sooo good!
The adaptation was made by HBO and I just watched it, as well, last week. I liked the show but at some parts they kind of gave the mystery away, in my opinion. Still super entertaining and very much worth the watch! I actually can’t wait to see what they do with season two!
Ok, I loved this show before I ever read the books. I just-
I just adore this show🤷🏻♀️
This show was based off of the Sookie Stackhouse novels and was also made by HBO (so you now it’s good!)
I actually haven’t read this book and honestly don’t plan to because I saw the TV show. You all could persuade me to pick the book up, though. So, my question is, is the book any different from the TV show? Did I miss out on anything by not reading the book? I really loved the show, but I feel like I know that story and the twists and I just don’t know if the book will interest me now that I’ve seen the show.
Another book to movie adaptation. I haven’t read this book either. I thought this movie was so good and I might read the book. Then again, I might not. Idk, we’ll see. 🤷🏻♀️
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
And last but not least, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. This movie was so adorable! Lana Condor is just amazing and I can’t wait until the second movie comes out! I haven’t read this book, yet, either but it is definitely high on my TBR!
Alright friends, that’s all from me today!
What are your favorite book to movie/TV adaptations?
I hope you all have a great Friday and an amazing weekend!
