Best Sequel Ever

So, recently, there have been two sequels that I have liked more than the first books (and, coincidentally, they are both trilogies). They are:

Currently reading

I’m doing a buddy read of Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. I just received my hold from the library for Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton (I’m almost positive that I won’t be able to renew my checkout of this one, so I need to finish it for sure!) and I’m listening to Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire on audiobook.

Drink of choice

I actually don’t have a drink of choice while I’m reading. It’s just whatever I’m drinking at the time that I sit down to read. Mostly just plain old water but sometimes coffee, sometimes a La Croix.

E-reader or physical book

I, honestly, love both but for different reasons. I love e-books because they’re easily accessible you can carry literally hundreds around with you and only have the weight of your device.

I also love physical books because they are just so nice to look at. Lol Also, when I feel like I’ve been staring at a screen all day it tends to make my eyes hurt and I like to pick up a physical copy of a book then.

Fictional character you probably would of dated in high school

Uh, this one is kind of tough for me because I feel like I don’t really read books with characters I would want to date. 🤷‍♀️ I think the best answer for this would be Kalil from The Hate U Give. The way Starr describes him and how sweet he is to her are just so adorable!

Glad you gave this book a chance

I think I will have to go with the Wayward Children series on this one. I had heard such raving reviews about this series and I’m so glad that I chose to pick it up as well. It is one of my favorite series.

Hidden Gem

Hmmm, I honestly can’t think of anything. I think I tend to stick to the hyped books and not the obscure ones. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, I don’t want to shut myself completely off from any genre because if it sounds interesting then I’ll give it a shot. On the other hand, there are some genres that usually don’t interest me at all so I just don’t pick them up. Those include, historical fiction and non-fiction, memoirs (especially by celebrities) and most nonfiction.

Major book hangover because of

Oh my gosh! Lol I have a book hangover over pretty much any book that I give a five star rating to. The most recent one, however, is my last one finished as well. We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson. I’m trying to start new books but it’s now been a week and I’m still thinking about that book.

Number of bookcases you own

One sole, lonely bookshelf for me. I just started buying books again. So, for now, I only need one and it’s likely to stay that way because I don’t really have any room in my house for more right now.

One book you have read multiple times

Oof. I’m kind of a one and done kind of girl (same with movies). There’s just so many to get to and I don’t have time to spend on rereading but I do own some books that I plan to reread, I just haven’t yet.

Finale by Stephanie Garber. I am dying to get my hands on this book and finish out the trilogy (even though I’m so, so sad that it is ending😭).

Worst bookish habit

Oh gosh! lol I feel like I have several but maybe I’ll make a separate post about it🤣 Don’t kill me, but, I looove to crack the spines on hardcovers and paperbacks alike. Although, you can’t see it on the hardcovers which is a plus to those, I still love to do it to paperbacks as well. I don’t know, there’s just something so satisfying about it.
